I am planning on getting a new desktop computer soon. What do you guys recommend for a processor and video card? I'm trying to decided on whether to get an Intel Core Quad Processor or the Intel Core Duo Processors?

Right now I am running an ATI 128 MB video card. I was thinking about getting a 512 MB video card, but I saw they have 1024 MB video cards now. Any recommendations on video cards?

With regards to graphics card, if you can afford it ... the bigger the better Smile

But in my personal experience, I must say that I have had better luck with Nvidia than with ATI ... running with a 512 Nvidia a the moment and have no "big" problems ... well, except for in the Hoth instance.

And I cant give you any advice on processors ... sorry ... still using some poor piece of **** myself.
