New Computer

Ok I got my new computer but I can't get SWG installed. I have an old copy of the game on 5 CD's but when I try to install it on my new computer the launchpad doesn't launch. Also it keeps saying that there is an error in the files when I am installing them. Oh I am running Vista...so I am still learning the new Operating System.

Anybody know how I can get SWG on my new computer without buying the game again?

Right click it and run as administrator.

yup that worked, now I just have to wait for 2 years worth of patches to download....

Hey Woobe, I got SWG up and running now. It like playing a brand new game! All I need to do is to connect to Vent. I entered in this info:

vs4.gamewarrior.net
Port: 4076

But it says:
Connected to server but unable to authenticate your login name and password. Make sure you entered the correct global server password or the password for your unique login name. You will be automatically banned if you try connecting with the wrong password several more times, so be sure you have the correct password before you try again. Passwords are case sensitive and must be completely retyped if you are making a change to it. The password will always be displayed as 8 (*'s or dots) even if the actual length of the password is shorter or longer then 8. You should also verify that you entered the correct IP address (or hostname) and Port number. If the port number is wrong you are connecting to the wrong server.

Do I need a password?
