Imperial Health Officials Urge Immediate Quarantine of Ithorians!
Imperial Press Release - IOCI, Lake Justice, Lok.
Lok, Karthakk System - Imperial Health Officials released new findings concerning a virulent infection that has been responsible for the deaths of least 16 Ithorians residing on the planet Lok. Initial reports from independent sources centered around the unusual disappearance of Ithorians around the Karthakk System. |
The Imperial Security Bureau has warned that close contact with the Ithorian species by humans, may result in infection and they have urged the Imperial Ministry of Health to investigate reports of the contagion on nearby worlds.
"This infection targets the liver and kidneys first, resulting in a rapid build up of toxins within the body. As the infection progresses, vital organs stop producing cells and cease all function. Advanced cases result in death and is not responsive to conventional treatment once organs fail." Said Dr. Zeer, a member of ISB who is assisting researchers in the system. "The best course of action is to separate the Ithorians from further contact with other species, especially humans."
Agent Zeer, a Doctor whose practice was on Imperial Center, had joined Imperial Security prior to the dissolution of the Senate. Since that time his contributions to the Throne and the New Order have been centered around medical applications.
ISB involvement became necessary when the virus was discovered to pose a threat against Human life, and its possible use a bioweapon against the peace loving species of the Galaxy.
"The Criminal Mon Mothma, and her rebellion, are certainly willing to go through any extreme to take back their power. When the senate was dissolved and her influence in the Galaxy diminished, she was no longer able to pursue her corrupt career and work her evil machinations on the Galaxy." A spokesperson for ISB stated earlier in the week at a conference held near the Imperial Palace.
"They are directly responsible for the loss of countless innocent lives as a result of their attacks on Imperial facilities. They do not only target military installations, these rebels will attack and attempt to destroy anything that calls itself Imperial - which means the entire Galaxy - every man, woman and child - is a target. Using biological weapons against the Galaxy would be just the sort of thing these war mongers would do. We will continue to protect the beings of the Galaxy by whatever means necessary."
ISB urges anyone who comes in contact with an Ithorian in the Karthakk System, to report the sighting using the Planetary Emergency band of your comlink, and connect directly to the ISB band.
All reports will be kept confidential.
